“Ethnonumismatics” installation located on the second (mezzanine) floor of the History of Money Exposition is dedicated to the “auxiliary” application of coins – as a decorative element for clothes, ornaments and interior objects.
Bracelets, earrings, belt decorations, buckles, headbands, purses of the 19th – 20th centuries are displayed here. The visitors will see various necklaces, forehead decorations, pectorals, decorations in the shape of headwear, braids, and harness decorations. Another object is chulpa – a Tatar decoration consisting of a medallion in the shape of a leaf and three coins fixed to it. A decoration like that was woven into a braid together with a band.
